synopsis

Silent as the Grave is a mystery inspired by actual events.

Chris Nowak’s dreams of becoming a successful filmmaker in Chicago have become a nightmare. His recent documentary on film noir didn’t receive the attention he thought it would. Plagued by professional defeat and with a child on the way, Chris is increasingly concerned about his family’s future.

After witnessing his mom’s emotional meltdown over the uncle he never knew, Chris becomes obsessed with a 60-year-old tragedy that he believes ended in murder. His aunt is certain his uncle’s death was no accident, and Chris hopes the story will become his award-winning film. But at what cost? Chris’ family believe his suspicions are fueled by paranoia. His wife Naomi has decided this isn’t the film-noir life she signed up for. Even Chris is beginning to question his story and theories…at least until he and his family are threatened to stop his search.

The evidence points to a cover-up and a series of motives including money, jealousy, and infatuation. With mounting financial and family problems, time is running out for Chris to make a choice…Will he navigate to the truth or to a dead-end?
